LAS VEGASLucky Dragon Hotel and Casino, the North Strip property that shook up the traditional hotel and casino format with its grand opening last year, is celebrating its first anniversary with a variety of special programming on Sunday, Dec. 3.

Beginning at noon the casino will be giving away Lucky Dragon t-shirts and have live music from resident favorite DJ Sojourner. Dragon’s Alley, the night market-themed event space located just off the casino floor, will bring its Jewel Kitchen to life with chefs preparing delicious dishes from China, Thailand, the Philippines and a variety of Asian nations from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Phö, lumpia, shui mai and whole fried tilapia will be among the international delicacies. Guests can dine and enjoy live performances in the space throughout the evening. A traditional lion and dragon dance will kick off the evening’s festivities at 6 p.m., performing again at 8 p.m.

“Bringing everyone together to celebrate the anniversary of Lucky Dragon is something special for all of us,” said Lucky Dragon General Manager Jordan Seager. “The grand opening a year ago was obviously an incredible achievement and milestone for our entire team; being the first new resort to open in more than six years and a part of the growth of the North Strip is something we take great pride in. This celebration is as much a commemoration of our first year in business as it is a toast to all of the great things to come.”

In addition to the anniversary festivities taking place, Lucky Dragon will be offering a two-for-one special on all entrées from the recently updated menu at the property’s luxury dining room, Phoenix, through the entire month of December.

“We wanted to do something unique to thank everyone for making our first year so incredible,” said Blaire Dela Cruz, vice president of operations at Lucky Dragon. “With a recent menu change, and understanding that not everyone can join us for the actual anniversary, we figured this would be a nice gesture and a great way for people to enjoy the incredible new flavors of modern Asia being served right here in Las Vegas.”
